With support from family and friends, I was given the opportunity to share food, water filters and love to the people of the Dominican Republic over a period of 2 months. As I practiced my Spanish on the ground, I wrote about my experiences on my travel blog for those back home.

While participating with IU Southeast's newspaper, the opportunity to attend 2017 ACP/CMA National College Media Convention in Dallas, Texas. With the 5 days of seminar training, the amount of information retained from the 23 seminars I attended was more information I could have learned in any other setting as each seminar gave me beginner's or intermediate information and guidance on topics, situations or job experience I had not previously been shown or some I had known little of.
